I LOVE quotes. Actually, saying that I love them really doesn’t do it justice. Maybe I’m even a little obsessed with quotes. Some of my favorite quotes have been an influence on my life for decades.
The problem is remembering the lessons I’ve learned from them. I have a ton of great quotes I keep on my Pinterest board – literally hundreds of them. Many of them are very meaningful to me. You can print images from Instagram, but for some reason, I’ve never found a site that lets you print images from Pinterest. So, I found a way to do it myself.
What I do is go through my board and I pick out the quotes that really speak to me. Then I just save them to my phone or my computer. I have an app for Snapfish that lets me print 100 free 4 X 6 photos per month for just the price of shipping, so I just upload them and print them.
Then I take the prints and I scatter them around on my desk, on my bathroom counter, on my mirrors, etc. And then I change them around every couple of weeks. That way, as I’m going about my day, these little messages are just sinking into my subconscious all day long and providing a positive inspiration for me.
My Favorite Quotes
Here are some of the ones I have sitting on my desk right now:
I have an idea that I’d like to create an area in my house, like a meditation spot. I can have some quiet time there and I would LOVE to make a sort of wallpaper out of all my favorite quotes. It’s funny how they become like old friends after you’ve seen them around for a period of time. I think that’s when the deeper meaning of them really sinks in. Give it a try!
I have a lot of my favorite quotes on a cork board in my room. I keep most of them in a journal. I love having them handy when I need a boost or some encouragement. I love your idea of having them as wallpaper! But I might never leave that room. LOL
Good point. I think I would have the same problem!
I love the first one! Hadn’t heard it before and will certainly remember it.
Thank you! I found another one just today – Don’t swim the ocean for someone who wouldn’t cross a puddle for you. The applies to a lot of people I know and I’m totally that swim the ocean without a second thought type of person… Lessons to learn.
I love quotes, and I think most people do because I get great feedback when I share inspiring quotes. They are a lot of wisdom in a little bit of text! I think having them scroll on my phone would be nice…
That’s a good idea too. I also like to have them around my house. In fact from where I’m sitting, I can read four different quotes on my walls and that’s just in one room. I think I just really LIKE words.
I am obsessed with quotes too! It is a great idea to print them out and strategically place around the house to motivate and inspire you every day. I should definitely try that!
Thank you. I’ve found it to be very helpful. In fact, I’m about to go back and grab a new batch of them.
Great quotes!
Thanks. I really find this to be a useful technique to just boost my spirits in general and keep my self on track, and we all know how hard that can be.
