Pinterest is probably the most powerful social media platform out there, but I constantly see people and businesses that are doing it all WRONG. Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter are all great tools, but I don’t feel that they have the same potential for driving the sheer volume of traffic as Pinterest does.
Here are some of the reasons many people and businesses are struggling to get good traffic going from Pinterest:
- They don’t know what to do. Pinterest isn’t a simple tool to use and many people just don’t know how set up their Pinterest boards correctly. So they just blunder around and do the best they can, which often doesn’t get them a very good result.
- They’re scared of it. There are a lot of people who are just terrified of computers anyway, so it’s not surprising that a lot of people are very nervous about running their Pinterest account. So, they either avoid it completely, or are so tentative that they only put a few pins out there occasionally.
- They’re busy and they just can’t keep up with all the things on their blogging to-do list. I totally get that, but I’m just the opposite – I spend 90% of my promo time on Pinterest and I tend to neglect the other platforms a bit.
- They just don’t like it. I’m that way with Instagram. I have a profile out there, but it just annoys me that they put so many restrictions on it, so I pretty much ignore it as it relates to my blog.
These are all perfectly valid issues, but it’s sad if these issues get in the way of your business or your website being as productive and successful as you can make it. Maybe YOU are one of these people who struggles like this. The good news is that I have some HELP for you. In fact, I have several avenues of help for you.
If you are the do-it-yourself type, who just needs a bit of guidance, I have a great Ebook. It has 18 pages of very simple instructions on how to optimize your Pinterest account and how to use it to your best advantage. I also include two brief videos to explain how to use Tailwind, my favorite Pinterest pin scheduling tool.
Here are a few of the tips I share in my Ebook. I will show you how to optimize your boards and personalize your profile. How to set up a business account and how to use scheduling tools like Tailwind to create rich, meaty boards that will draw in new Followers to send traffic to your website. I have several brief videos to show off some of the analytics and time-saving tools available in Tailwind.
I also show you how to leverage your competition to improve your account and attract new Followers that are already interested in your topics. I’ve recently done a complete re-write of my book and added in whole new sections. I share some great tips on how to draw in new Followers through leveraging group boards, how to create GORGEOUS pins with Canva (including a video) and how to create a winning keyword strategy to boost your visibility.
Personalized Account Reviews
If you want more individualized help, I offer a personalized Pinterest account review.
What I do is go over to Pinterest and spend an hour or two reviewing your Pinterest account as well as that of several of your competitors. Then I write up at least ten specific and actionable changes you can make to your account to gain Followers, receive more repins, and generate more clicks to your website. This product is $25.00 and it takes me 3 to 5 days to complete. I will also send you the links to my Tailwind videos and a free month’s trial of their service
Full-Service Pin Scheduling
For the last year or so, I’ve been doing some hands-on scheduling work for clients. I’ve helped 60 to 70 clients greatly improve their presence on Pinterest. This has given me a lot of insight into the common mistakes many pinners are making. This is what inspired me to write my Ebook and provide a lot of the tips I use.
I am a little choosy about the projects I take on, and I’m not cheap, but I generally have a waiting list of clients who are anxious for my help. If you are interested in my services, please leave a comment with your Email address and I’ll get in touch with my pricing and availability.
Pinterest is just like anything else in life. You get out of it what you put into it. I get good results and lots of traffic from Pinterest because I put a lot of time and energy into it. Plus I’ve spent years learning the do’s and don’t’s of how to get the most out of it and I enjoy sharing that knowledge with my clients. It’s very heart-warming to me to see the difference from when I start to when I finish, and see a major increase in activity.
