The Twelve Days of Scouting Christmas

OK, this is just a quick one today.  I am up to my ears in Christmas “busyness” to the point where I can’t even sleep for thinking of all the gifts I need to wrap (and still buy!) and cards I need to send.  But I did want to slip this one in.  I know you’re all probably tired of hearing about my Eagle Scout by now, but I was quite pleased to note that his project was featured as the Fourth Day of the Twelve Days of Scouting Christmas that is featured on the Voice of the Scout blog.  I thought that was very cool.

The series is patterned after the twelve points of the Scout Law.  A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly,
courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.  Since Blake’s project is an anti-bullying one, they decided it was a good fit for A Scout is Friendly.

My Son's Eagle Project was featured as the Day Four - A Scout is Friendly for the 12 Days of Scouting Christmas.

Day Four of the Twelve Days of Scouting Christmas – A Scout is Friendly

Full disclosure – I do write for both the Utah Scouts blog and the Voice of the Scout blog – I’m a regular contributor on them, about once a month.  But I didn’t know a thing about this – I think my editor wanted to surprise me for Christmas.  And a nice surprise it was!

If you’d like to read the rest of the series – here is the link The Twelve Days of Scouting Christmas.  Today is Day Nine and they have a hilarious video about the Four, er, Three Wise Men.

Hope you all have a wonderful Holiday with your Family.
